Accommodation at Thali Thali Game Lodge

Thali Thali has three accommodation options – self-catering chalets, B&B glamping tents and the self-catering farmhouse lovingly called “Ouma se Huis”.

In the self-catering chalets, you will find furnished double bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, living areas, fully-equipped kitchens and sleeper couches for extra guests. They are suited for both couples and families with kids, as bunk beds are available in the two-bedroom chalet. The chalets also come with TV’s with DStv as well as indoor and outdoor braai facilities.

If you choose the B&B glamping tents, you get beautiful double bedroom units with en-suite bathrooms, kitchenettes and sleeper couches. Braai facilities are available next to the patio. There are no TV’s in these units, which makes it perfect for guests desiring an experience close to nature.

For anyone seeking more privacy, the Old Farmhouse is perfect. It is separated from the rest of the accommodation units and comes with four large bedrooms – making it perfect for large families and groups. Inside are two bathrooms, a kitchen with a large fireplace, an entertainment area, TV with DStv, Wi-Fi and an enclosed garden.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
