Spanning thousands of hectares of unspoiled African wilderness on the easternmost corner of Botswana; Tuli Wilderness is renowned for its unique and diverse wildlife, stunning landscapes, and exceptional safari experiences.
Being one of the largest privately-owned conservation reserves in southern Africa, Tuli Wilderness is a must-visit destination for any wildlife enthusiast. The area known as the Tuli Block has some of the most amazing landscapes and climate. It is a transitional zone between the Kalahari Desert and the savannahs of southern Africa – a blend of rocky hills, sandy riverbeds, and open plains.
As a result, the reserve is home to a wide variety of animals, including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes and zebras as well as a rich variety of birdlife. Thanks to their professional and knowledgeable guides, you get to observe the animals in their natural habitat.
Tuli Wilderness is owner-managed by Stuart and Julie Quinn, whose years of experience in the southern African wildlife tourism and hospitality industry are hard to miss. Many of their previous guests have praised them for creating an oasis of excellent facilities and top-notch hospitality. It is no wonder why the Tuli Wilderness area was named among the 5 wildly underrated natural escapes for 2023 by National Geographic.

Tuli Wilderness Reviews from previous guests
“WOW – thank you Tuli Wilderness for another magical experience. Jou you never fail to amaze us – lions, leopards, brown and spotted hyenas, Pels fishing owls and all the other things in between. Thank you Gabi, Lillian and Tips for wonderful food and hospitality back at camp. It is truly one of our happy places,” wrote Nigel on their TripAdvisor page.
Robin Bailey added; “Wow!!! This was our 3rd time back at Tuli and our first time staying at Serolo camp. This place never ceases to amaze me. It was like seeing family again. Nothing is ever an issue or too much to ask. It truly has the most amazing people. One of the highlights of staying at Serolo was experiencing the fully catered option. Chef Kennedy really out did himself and every meal was outstanding.”
“If you want to enjoy African wildlife in its natural habitat without the zoo-like character of a private game reserve and without 10 other vehicles cruising around you, then consider a trip to Tuli Wilderness and stay a couple of days in one of their camps. Beware: you will not be alone in the camp. There will be plenty of birds, antelopes, baboons and monkeys, elephants, lions, the odd leopard or a genet or a porcupine, there will be the amazing hosts Julie and Stuart, an excellent private chef, a dedicated nature guide and there will occasionally be a rare sighting of another tourist. If you have started to visit some corners of Africa already, then you will appreciate how different this place is…” said Geier1.
