Here, adventure meets purpose with Marine Dynamics, an award-winning ecotourism company dedicated to transforming every encounter into an act of conservation. Recognized globally for their marine research, education, and preservation work, Marine Dynamics invites travellers to experience the ocean like never before. Whether it’s the thrill of shark cage diving, the serenity of whale watching, or the wonder of a Marine Big Five tour, every trip supports vital conservation efforts through their non-profit partner, the Dyer Island Conservation Trust.
Discover the Ocean’s Greatest Treasures Marine Dynamics

The adventure begins at The Great White House, where guests are welcomed with warm hospitality and a hearty breakfast or lunch. After a comprehensive safety briefing, they’ll receive all their gear — wetsuit, booties, lifejacket, and weatherproof jacket — before setting off with Marine Dynamics’ expert crew.
Once onboard, the experienced crew will look after guests and take them to the anchoring point. Here, travellers might encounter swift Bronze Whalers, and other shark species. Between sightings, enjoy hot chocolate and snacks while the onboard biologist shares fascinating insights about shark behaviour and marine conservation.
Beyond sharks, Marine Dynamics offers a Marine Big Five Tour aboard Dreamcatcher, where guests can spot whales, dolphins, penguins, seals, and sharks in their natural habitat. From January to May, guests might glimpse Humpback and Bryde’s whales, while Southern Right whales grace Gansbaai’s coastline from June to December. Operating around world famous Dyer Island – the only place in the world where travellers might be so fortunate to see the Oceans’ Marine Big 5 in a 2 hour trip out to sea.
