There are eight, free-standing accommodation options available for you at Lodge Afrique.

The Twin / King Luxury Suites are suited for travelling companions or as additional accommodation to couples travelling with older kids. Expect twin beds that can be converted to King-size; en-suite Afro-Victorian bathrooms with showers and baths; private outdoor cold showers; TVs with DStv; Wi-Fi and tea and coffee facilities.

Or you can choose the Luxury Queen Suites. Expect spacious, fully-airconditioned rooms with en-suite Afro-Victorian bathrooms with baths and showers together with private outdoor cold showers, TVs with DStv, Wi-Fi and tea/coffee facilities.

Designed for more discerning travellers, the Luxury King Suites will meet your holiday accommodation needs. They come fully-airconditioned with en-suite Afro-Victorian bathrooms with showers and baths together with private outdoor cold showers, TVs with DStv, Wi-Fi and tea and coffee facilities.

All the suites are connected to the central Lodge by a raised wooden deck pathway nestled in a beautiful subtropical garden.

Guest facilities at the lodge include / lounge; laundry service, outdoor pool and a tour/sightseeing desk. For your vehicles, there is secure, free parking.

Full English & Continental breakfasts are served on the open-air breakfast deck ahead of your day of exploration.

Activities in St Lucia

The St Lucia area offers a host of activities for visitors. These include game drives, hippo and croc boat trips, night safaris, snorkelling, turtle and whale tours, guided walks, horse riding, cultural tours, deep-sea fishing and birding.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.

However, the best restaurants come with the best of service, food and ambiance.

Spas are the ultimate relaxation aid

How do you know when you have had a great spa experience? The answer, of course, is when you doze off on the treatment table.

Well that’s our theory anyway. It also doesn’t take a grand location with enormous facilities for a spa to be really good

Ziplining, bungy jumping and shark cage diving are all very safe. It’s just that our mind tells us we are craaazzzzyyyy to be doing this.
