In one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in South Africa, on the Cape West Coast, Whispering Whale Luxury Apartments is to be found in the quiet village of Jacobs Bay.

This quaint village with its traditional lime washed houses is set against a breathtaking coastline with rocky out crops, sandy bays and cobalt blue ocean.

Whispering Whale Luxury Apartments is an elegant house with a peaceful garden which has been transformed into three luxury apartments, which can sleep up to ten guests.

Accommodation is available either as self-catering or as B&B where meals may be arranged on request.

Accommodation at Whispering Whale Luxury Apartments

Each non-smoking apartment is tastefully decorated in natural shades exuding a sense of peace and comfort.

The fully equipped kitchen features modern appliances including a dishwasher, and the living area is open plan, with a balcony or patio, with patio furniture and braai facilities.

The ensuite bedrooms feature a king or queen size bed with luxury linen and towels, heated towel rails, flat screen TV, electronic safe, hair dryer, Wi-Fi and secure parking.

Each apartment has its own separate entrance and entertainment area.

For guest’s convenience there is also a fully equipped communal laundry on the premises.

The guest house is not suitable for children under eight and no pets are allowed.

Nearby Attractions

Jacobs Bay is ideally situated for excursions throughout the Cape Region. Cape Town with its international airport and with all its big city attractions is a one and half hour drive away.

Other notable attractions are the Cape Winelands, The West Coast National Park, and in season, the world-renowned Namaqualand wild flowers.

The many quaint villages along the West Coast offer interesting indoor and outdoor restaurants. There are hiking trails, bay cruises, fishing charters, water sports, kayaking, whale watching, golf, and a casino.

Guests can enjoy long walks on the unspoiled beach or just relax and enjoy sundowners on their balcony as you watch the spectacular sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
