Accommodation at African Spirit Game Lodge

There are two accommodation options at African Spirit Game Lodge. The Main Lodge features a large dining room, cosy lounge, a bar with a viewing deck, open fireplace and a swimming pool with a thatched gazebo.

Choose from their four comfortable, stylish and fully-serviced Chalets. Each one can accommodate two people and comes with an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioner, mini bar fridge, ceiling fan, tea and coffee making facilities.

There are two Self-Catering Units available, which can sleep six and four people – certainly suited for families and groups travelling to Mkuze. You will find the units spacious with two and three bedrooms each, comfortable lounge areas, fully-equipped open plan kitchens, verandas and private boma/barbeque areas. All crockery, cutlery, linen, bedding, bath towels and toilet paper are also provided.

There is plenty of activities to keep you occupied at the Manyoni Private Game Reserve. Think game drives, golfing, photographic safaris, horse riding, whale-watching, fishing among many other activities.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
