Drakensberg Ballooning services

Originally on offer were two flight packages – a Scenic Flight and a Safari Flight. While a minimum of four people is needed to confirm a flight, they can still accommodate a group of up to eight people on short notice.

The Scenic Flight is a 45-60min balloon ride that takes you over the farmlands, dams and plantations with the majestic Drakensberg Mountain providing the backdrop. You can also expect a delicious farmhouse breakfast and champagne with your flight. The balloons launch from Glen Gray Farm, which happens to be Drakensberg Ballooning’s original launch site.

Meanwhile, the Safari Flight also includes 45-60min ride, champagne and farmhouse breakfast or picnic basket. The type of breakfast is determined by weather conditions. The balloons launch from a private game farm about 5 km from Glen Gray Farm. This safari flight gives you exquisite panoramic views of the area as well as animals that include Giraffe, Kudu, Zebra, Wildebeest and many others.

They now also offer an Elopement Package for romantics. It includes a Hot Air Balloon Flight; Marriage officer (Pastor) services; flowers (bridal bouquet, table, arch, etc.); catering; drinks; cake (3-layered vanilla/chocolate); make-up / hair styling; venue hire (includes cutlery/crockery/glassware); planner/coordinator services; setup and breakdown as well as cleaning before and after the event.
