Conveniently located in the central hub of quaint Fish Hoek, 55 on Main offers comfortable and stylish self-catering accommodation for couples, families, business travellers or groups.

Accommodation may be reserved on a daily or monthly basis, and features include secure, off-street parking and Wi-Fi, with an a la carte breakfast available at the coffee shop across the road.

Rooms at 55 on Main may be booked separately or as a tailor-made package to accommodate a group of up to thirty guests.

Self-Catering Accommodation

55 on Main offers nine luxury ensuite rooms and three luxury apartments. The ensuite rooms are comfortable, stylish and modern, and decorated in elegantly bright colours. The individual rooms have access to a communal kitchen, open plan living area and a small balcony.

The luxury apartments each have two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a guest toilet, and an open plan living area with a balcony.

All rooms have a queen size bed, or two singles, a smart TV enabled with Netflix log in, a ceiling fan, complimentary tea/coffee facilities, a safe, hair dryer, linen and bath towels, as well as daily housekeeping.

The Urban Spa at 55 on Main

Situated within the confines of this luxury establishment the Urban Spa can be found. With a holistic approach to wellness, the Urban Spa offers an array of massage treatments including Thai, Swedish, Indian head massage, sport/deep tissue, hot stone, back, neck and shoulder, and foot massage.

The massage offerings aim to foster rejuvenation and balance, but for optimal results should be booked in conjunction with an Ozone steam therapy session. These therapeutic treatments revitalise your body and elevate your overall wellbeing. All of this, without even leaving the building.

The Urban Spa also offers a number of exclusive spa packages which are meticulously crafted to create a holistic and rejuvenating experience, from a comprehensive two-hour package to a six-hour package.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
