This popular butchery opened its doors in 1998 and is still going. Lasting 20 years in the competitive meat industry should in itself be a sign of quality.

While the founders retired in 2016, their two sons have continued with the Van Der Stel Butchery’s tradition of stocking mainly A-grade meats, spices, sauce and frozen foods from trusted suppliers.

It’s not just meat; the butchery is all about helping you create a sense of family – the laughter, memories and conversations shared over a braai, potjiekos or any other great food recipe.

At Van Der Stel Butchery, they pride themselves on providing a wide selection of quality meats and excellent customer service. Their top-notch service has created a lot of loyal customers that keep coming back all year round, and has new ones showing up along the way.

Their selection of meats mainly consists of A2 and A3 grade products, as they believe their customers prefer a juicer selection than leaner meats. While they don’t source their products directly from farmers, they make sure to keep up good relations with most of the local abattoirs.

At Van Der Stel Butchery, you will find a quality selection of traditional pink viennas, boerewors, ground mince, biltong & drywors, sosaties, steaks and more! There is also a selection of frozen vegetables, spices for meats and a variety of sauces.

When it comes to their restaurant-quality rump and sirloin, they try to mature it for a minimum of 28 days to ensure their customers always get top quality steak. They also stock wood and charcoal for braais.
