Table View Lodge is the realization of Charl and Taryn Steyn’s dream to own a lodge while living close to the beach. They relocated from Johannesburg to Cape Town and made that dream a reality.
“Knowing what wonderful variety Cape Town has to offer we also wanted to balance the accommodation,” the Steyns explain.
“By balance meaning, we wanted to be within a few minutes of the beach and close to some wine farms and business areas also. We wrote down everything that irritated us about hotels and BnB’s to ensure we offered a balanced stay.
“Our lodge had to offer a relaxed feel and homely feel but still allow business guests what was important to them such as free Wi-Fi internet access and be relatively close to public transportation.”
Eventually, the right property popped up and they grabbed it. After a month of renovations, they had transformed it into the beautiful, tranquil and relaxed Table View Lodge. With their friendly and hospitable staff, they are always ready to receive you with a warm welcome and smile.
Accommodation at Table View Lodge
Table View Lodge has five stand-alone private self-catering accommodation units.
Rooms have been aptly named based on the styling of Table View Lodge being that of a beachy vibe thus Sunset, Summer Breeze, Sky and Sunflower were named.
These units each have a small kitchenette for meals; however, you have the shared braai/BBQ at the pool area.
All rooms are private entranced to open plan units which are ideal for two adults or one business traveler as it offers en-suite bathrooms with a shower.
Twin beds can be arranged if you have persons wishing to share. “We often receive businesses or friends travelling on a tight budget who ask for a twin bed arrangement” mentions Charl.
Most units offer you DStv satellite or Netflix television and all have access to free Wifi Internet facilities.
The Cottage is their largest unit which has a larger kitchen and lounge and can take kids on the bunkbeds.

Besides secure, parking for your vehicles, the lodge also has free Wi-Fi throughout.
Breakfast for business bookings is also arranged.
Ideal for many guests and within walking distance is the lovely Italian restaurant and a store.

Table View Lodge is located just five minutes from Dolphin Beach or Bloubergstand. Cape Town and its various tourist attractions and activities are a mere 20 minutes away.
Enjoy everything from strolls on the beach to visits to the cinema, shopping, restaurants, and trips to the nearby farms and Durbanville wine estates.
