The Bushbaby Valley Lodge is a nature lover’s haven

Situated approximately 13kms west of Hazyview in Mpumalanga, Bushbaby Valley Lodge is a 30 – 45 minute drive to all the various lowveld attractions. This haven of peace, tranquillity and serenity is just the place to restore your soul.

Enjoy the spectacular panoramic views that overlook the bush of the beautiful Sabie Valley. The Sabaan River flows through the grounds and can be seen from the guest house terrace.

The river offers a melodic calm as it runs by – a sound makes relaxation all the easier as does the singing of the birds down in the surrounding forest.

The evenings are filled with the sound of the bushbabies, after which the Lodge is named. With a bit of luck you may even be able to view the Bush Duiker drinking at the river.

Enjoy a swim in the pool and a delicious buffet breakfast in the restaurant each morning. Relax in the spacious and stylish indoor and outdoor areas of the Lodge with the best views of the Sabie valley from the terrace.

Luxury Self-catering and B&B Accommodation at Bushbaby Valley Lodge

If space is your idea of luxury, then you won’t be disappointed. There are six luxury self-catering suites and one guest rooms located in the Guest House.

Each suite is great on space and is tastefully and individually decorated. Curl up on one of the comfortable chairs in the lounge area with a good book, or watch TV.

Look up every now and then through the large windows and enjoy the view of the bush. Or relax and delight in the peace and tranquillity and fresh air on your own balcony as you look out over the valley.

Create memories in the splendid Bushbaby Premium Honeymoon Suite with a view of the gardens. King size bed, fluffy bath robes, double shower, bath tub, open plan kitchen and separate lounge. Relax on sun loungers at your own private splash pool and patio.

Day visitors are welcome so plan a romantic laid back afternoon picnic for two or up to six people in the garden overlooking the river.

Restaurants with a good mix of service, food and ambiance

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.

However, the best restaurants come with the best of service, food and ambiance.

Spas are the ultimate relaxation aid

How do you know when you have had a great spa experience? The answer, of course, is when you doze off on the treatment table.

Well that’s our theory anyway. It also doesn’t take a grand location with enormous facilities for a spa to be really good

Ziplining, bungy jumping and shark cage diving are all very safe. It’s just that our mind tells us we are craaazzzzyyyy to be doing this.
