Raptor’s Lodge offers a variety of pristine luxury accommodation. These upmarket chalets have large windows and sliding doors that open out onto furnished patios with braai areas. With the bushveld right on your doorstep, this is a perfect place to relax in the sun and enjoy the peace.

Each tastefully decorated chalet is open plan with satellite TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and an indoor fire place. Each chalet has two en-suite bedrooms, a super king size bed and two singles, and mosquito nets.

The luxurious bathrooms include a tub, snow white fluffy towels and luxury toiletries, and a glass door opens out to a delightful outdoor shower.

In addition, there are six deluxe units which each have their own private swimming pool.

Raptor’s Lodge also offers a luxury farm house situated five kilometres outside of Hoedspruit. This is a perfect retreat for families or for a group of friends.

This luxury double storey farmhouse sleeps six persons, and definitely has the WOW! Factor.

The open plan kitchen and living area open onto the patio that brings the outdoors inside.

An added bonus to reserving the farmhouse is that breakfast is included in the price. Your breakfast will be set up on the outside dining area by the Lodge’s gourmet chef.

There are plenty of nearby activities available for guests to enjoy. Their proximity to the Kruger National Park is a drawing factor for many holidaymakers.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
