At Scala Pasta Bar, Italian master chef Luciano Monosilio, along with Executive Chef Justin Parker and his local team, has crafted a unique pasta menu. Keeping with their mission for quality food, the team in their Pasta Laboratory produce three types of pasta made fresh and by hand daily with only the best seasonal ingredients. With their Josper Charcoal oven specially imported from Spain, the team produces unique sauces, vegetables, and meats to add throughout every dish.
At Scala, dining groups are recommended to choose between two to three dishes per couple, starting with a Piccoili Platti like scallop and yellowtail carpaccio, or a baked Puglia ricotta. The main pasta offerings include Chef Luciano Monosilio’s signature Carbonara, the Not Your Mamma’s Lasagna, or delicious fettuccine marinara with prawns, mussels, and crudo relish.
Dolci is the sweetest way to end any meal, and at Scala, each offering is as indulgent as the last. From Chef Luciano Monosilio’s creamy tiramisu to a decadent and irresistibly smooth chocolate mousse and a crispy Sicilian cannolo dipped in a rich dark chocolate ganache and roasted peanuts.
The Winter special, valid until September, at R345 per person sharing excluding gratuity offers Antipasti such as a roasted pumpkin cream while main meals include pappardelle all teramana, a creamy mussel risotto, and rigatoni all’ Amatriciana. The winter special’s Dolci is a refreshing coffee mousse.
