The food is wholesome, hearty and delicious, using the freshest locally sourced ingredients, including some from their own garden.

Children will be kept happy with their own menu and a colourful and safe play area with child minders.

Wine Tasting at Franschhoek Cellar

The wine hosts at Franschhoek Cellar are knowledgeable and friendly, and are there to assist you in tasting a variety of award winning wines.

Franschhoek is renowned for its handmade cheeses and chocolate, and their winemaker and chef have joined forces to create pairing experiences to showcase their wines along side the cheeses and chocolates.

Functions at Franschhoek Cellar

Franschhoek Cellar also has a wedding and conference facility just off Wine Tasting emporium. The venue can accommodate up to 350 guests, and offers a warm ambience created by soft lighting and neutral earthy décor.

Various wedding and conference packages are offered, and their professional events team will see to your every need and help you plan your perfect day.

The Platform Bar and Bistro is an ideal spot to host an intimate birthday or a beautiful spring baby shower. This cosy venue is prefect for a celebration of any kind and can accommodate up to 80 guests.

Before you leave, don’t miss The Grape and Bean where you can pick up some deli treats, gifts or take away coffee.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
