Manico Camp is a charming, thatched campsite located on Inhaca Island, Mozambique. Surrounded by palm trees, blue waters and coral reefs it is an idyllic spot for diving, snorkelling and fishing.
Thirty kilometres from Maputo by ferry, you will be met by Manico Camp’s little blue van and transported to the camp.
Accommodation and Facilities at Manico Camp
Almost on the water’s edge, Manico Camp is ten metres from the sea, and is an ideal location for fisherman-groups or large families.
Facilities include seven brick cabins, two family bush cabins with two single beds and a bunk bed, seven bush cabins and three deluxe bush cabins with double beds.
Each cabin has two single beds, a bar fridge, fan and dresser, and each is equipped with mosquito nets.
The clean and neat communal bathroom comprises toilets, showers and hand basins.
A large communal kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances and utensils. There is plenty of fridge and freezer space which is ideal for fisherman to store their catch.
The restaurant serves simple and tasty meals each day, and there is a seating area in the bar. The splash pool, fire pit and the braai area are great places for guests to come together and socialise.
All rooms and facilities are cleaned by staff every day.
Activities and Excursions on Inhaca Island
You can relax under the thatch umbrellas with a good book and soak up the sun, or you can take part in the many activities available.
Inhaca Island has plenty to offer– deep sea fishing, kayaking trips in the mangroves, snorkelling, scuba diving, lighthouse tours and many more.
There is a market in the village, and several restaurants and pubs in close proximity which serve excellent seafood dishes.
