The Menu at Momiji Restaurant
The current menu is a set multi course dining experience and guests are offered the option of a full drinks pairing.
The menu changes seasonally and features distinctive Japanese delicacies and flavours with a South African twist. Expect Tuna or Trout sashimi, dashi butter poached oysters, Wagyu short rib yaki onigiri and mochi, the delightful Japanese soft and squishy sweet treat, made with glutinous rice flour. They always highlight vegetables in one of the courses using seasonal organic ingredients from their garden in partnership with Urban Harvest. The garden, at Chapel Street Primary in Woodstock, is sponsored, maintained and shared with the school.
A pescatarian or vegetarian version of the standard set menu is available, but this needs to be confirmed at the time of booking.
The restaurant offers an extensive wine, spirits, sake and cocktail list.
