Jack’s Corner Ocean View has Great Food and Great Views in Richards Bay

Situated inside The Ridge Guest House, Jack’s Corner Ocean View is a delightful restaurant with magnificent views of the Richards Bay harbour and Pelican Island.

Guests may choose to dine indoors in the comfort of air conditioning, or on the deck and enjoy the sun and the sea breeze. It is also a great place to relax on a warm evening as the sun goes down.

The interior design is simple and elegant with comfortable seating, creating a cosy and relaxed atmosphere.

The menu covers a wide range of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and includes an excellent range of seafood dishes including red snapper and prawns.

The fully stocked licenced bar provides a variety of cocktails, soft drinks and wines to enjoy with your meal.

Vegetarian options are available as well as a variety of Portuguese inspired dishes, beef, pork and lamb, combos and platters.

Venue Hire

Jack’s Corner is a popular venue for bridal and baby showers, small weddings, year-end functions or any event or celebration.

The design of the restaurant allows you to close off sections for smaller events, where you may decorate your area according to your theme, and that section for three hours.

Jack’s can comfortably accommodate up to fifty people.

The venue includes a hookah corner, TV with DSTV, safe parking and a generator, so no interruption during load shedding.

Jack’s Corner Ocean View is an ideal place to relax and enjoy a beautiful view where the food is well priced and very generous.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.

Ziplining, bungy jumping and shark cage diving are all very safe. It’s just that our mind tells us we are craaazzzzyyyy to be doing this.
