The Estuary Hotel & Spa is located in the quiet town of Port Edward, along the pristine south coast of KwaZulu Natal. My stay at this beautiful hotel was certainly a memorable one.
From the moment I arrived at the Estuary Hotel, I knew I was in for a wonderful stay. I immediately noticed the tropical surroundings, both within the hotel’s facilities as well as throughout the region. We made our way down the winding road to the reception area, it was definitely a welcome sight after a long journey.
We unpacked our bags and made our way to our room for the evening, my friends and I stayed in a Seaview Facing Room. The room was open plan and contained all of the amenities one would expect, whilst the bathroom was certainly quite luxurious. The views overlooking the estuary and estate were simply superb.
You can expect a peaceful escape when visiting the Estuary Hotel & Spa, virtually the only sounds that we heard during our stay was the birds chirping. This gentle background noise was another reminder of the tranquil location we found ourselves in.
We made our way down to the dining area for our breakfast; this area is tastefully furnished and maintains a sense of elegance throughout. The buffet breakfast that was served had such a great variety; there was bacon, eggs, omelets, scones, muffins as well as tea and coffees. It was certainly a great way to start our day, we felt ready to tackle what lay ahead.
My stay at the Estuary Hotel & Spa met my every expectation and in some cases exceeded them. I will forever remember the picturesque views that can be enjoyed at this gem of a hotel.
