Urth is a beautiful lifestyle centre, with a distinct farm feel, situated in the northern suburbs of Bloemfontein.

This delightful centre offers a restaurant, a garden shop, a flower and gift shop, and a safe playground for children.

The restaurant is licensed and serves a full menu every day. Urth is well known for its lavish buffet breakfast served every Saturday and Sunday.

Urth boasts a beautiful flower shop which offers quality fresh flowers as well as bulk flowers for weddings and functions. Their professional florist is there to assist with hampers, bouquets and bunches, and gift wrapping.

The Nursery offers a huge selection of plants and will also source plants that you may be looking for. They stock tools and accessories, pots, hardware and gifts. Their experienced and knowledgeable staff will assist with suggestions and advice.

Urth Venues for Weddings, Conferences and Special Occasions

Urth offers several venue spaces that cater for any occasion. The areas are designed to operate as a unit, but can also be individually used as the occasion requires.

There is a suitable space for any conference, wedding, exhibition or for any occasion.

The Occasions Venue has an elegant farm chic interior with big wooden roof trusses, wood cladded walls, and chandeliers.

The Arbour has large open windows that allow the adjacent veld to be part of the back drop.

The Down to Urth Bar is a cosy space for a smaller private function.

The Upper Café, situated inside the restaurant, with its tables and comfortable seating areas, is a very popular spot for kitchen or stork teas or family gatherings.

The Vines. This lovely outdoor area under the vines, is a beautiful tranquil space ideal for an elegant garden party.

The Urth occasions team is skilled at preparing delicious food to match your taste, your budget and the size of your celebration.

There are a variety of menus to choose from and they are also flexible to cater for your specific needs.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.

Ziplining, bungy jumping and shark cage diving are all very safe. It’s just that our mind tells us we are craaazzzzyyyy to be doing this.
