Escape to the Bushveld at Mangwa Valley Game Lodge and Spa

Situated in the heart of the Dinokeng Game Reserve, and home to three of the big five, Mangwa Valley Game Lodge and Spa is a forty-minute drive from Pretoria.

The bar, lounge and dining room are situated in the main lodge. This grand thatched area leads on to a swimming pool and deck with a dining area and outdoor lounge. This is a perfect spot for breakfast or sundowners, with views of the bushveld and the dam.

The Lodge serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner can also be enjoyed around the fire pit in the Boma.

The onsite Zuri spa offers a variety of treatments where guests can enjoy the views of the bushveld while they relax.

The Lodge offers variousconference venues and is equipped with all the necessary facilities to make your conference, team building exercise or training sessions a success.

Weddings at Mangwa Valley Game Lodge and Spa

The Lodge is a perfect place for an authentic bushveld wedding, with a honeymoon suite tucked away in a romantic setting. The honeymoon suite boasts a spa bath, a private outdoor shower and a private patio.

The beautiful stone chapel boasts spectacular views of the bushveld and undulating valleys.

The Lodge has a fully licensed bar and offers tailor made packages to suit your needs, budget and wants.

The Lodge offers B&B accommodation in luxury double rooms, and luxury tents.

All have garden or mountain views, showers, heaters, tea/coffee facilities, fans, private patios and braai facilities.

There are six self-catering chalets which can sleep six or eight persons. These

have three bedrooms and two bathrooms, an open plan kitchen and living area, a fire place and braai facilities.

Activities

Activities Include guided game drives, sundowner game drives, bush walks, archery, interactive drumming and more.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.

How do you know when you have had a great spa experience? The answer, of course, is when you doze off on the treatment table.
