Nestled against the dunes and just a few steps from the beach, Farol da Barra is a luxury self-catering lodge in Mozambique.
With uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean, it is a popular destination for a honeymoon, family holidays, fishing trips and diving tours.
Fruit vendors display their produce, and local fisherman, selling prawns and crayfish, visit the lodge each morning. This is a great shopping experience as well as creating an opportunity to support the local community.
Farol da Barra boasts a restaurant on site which lives up to its name – Chill. It’s the perfect place to chill with a tasty plate of food or an ice-cold drink. Here you can relax with your feet in the sand under one of their thatched gazebos, or you can enjoy the cool shade in the pool area.
