Things to do when visiting
The area is rich in bird life and there is a nature reserve nearby.
The Lodge has its own jetty and day trips are offered to nearby game reserves, to Sodwana Bay and Kozi Bay, as well as a water safari.
A slow scenic boat trip is a lovely way to explore the nooks and crannies of the dam, with the chance of seeing hippos, elephants, or maybe a fish eagle dive for its prey.
There is also the waterside deck which is a great place to relax and enjoy the breath-taking panorama of the dam.
