Situated between the picturesque mountains and fruit orchards of the Langkloof, Belle-Vue Farm, lies at the foot of the historic Prince Alfred’s Pass in the Garden Route.
The area is home to a large variety of fynbos and wild life, and has a rich history as a prominent battle ground for the First and Second Boer Wars. Interestingly enough, the farm has existed since 1762 and is now in its tenth generation of ownership.
Belle-Vue farm is a perfect base for travellers or groups of nature lovers wanting to experience the local hiking and cycling trails. It has been considered to be ‘a hidden gem’ according to many of their guests.
Accommodation at Belle-Vue Farm
The guest house consists for four rooms, guests have the option to reserve a specific room or to book the entire guest house for their own private use.
The first room has a queen size bed and two further rooms have two single beds each. These rooms share a bathroom.
The family room consists of a queen size bed and three single beds, and has its own ensuite bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped and the outside braai area and large garden and dam is a great place to cool off and relax after a day of hiking or cycling.
Guests are welcome to walk through the orchard which is also a lovely spot to have a picnic.

The farm offers two guided tours. This includes an informative guided walk around the farm, which includes a visit to the Zondagh Farm Museum. For the more energetic, a 51/2 hour hike up the Zondaghberg, through the fynbos with incredible views of Prince Alfred’s Pass, home to many legends and historical sites.
There is The Karoo Labyrinth, and a number of historical buildings and British forts at Uniondale, a fifteen-minute drive away.
