Previously known as Café BonBon, they have recently changed their name after the bistro came under new owner, Chef Archie Maclean. However, they do still provide the same exceptional service and delightful dining experiences as before.

The restaurant is steeped in history and has beautiful natural surroundings that can be enjoyed from the many different eating areas which are what makes Bistro BonBon so unique. They even offer a unique experience of dining while being sheltered under the 200 year-old Oak tree in the garden.

You can choose among four different dining areas at Bistro BonBon, from the Front Patio, the Shaded Courtyard, under the Oak Tree to The Studio Restaurant. Choose whichever you like and you can experience something different every time you visit.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.
