Berchtesgaden Game Ranch and Lifestyle Farm offers a unique blend of luxury accommodation and wildlife experiences in the malaria free area of the African bushveld.
Located just two hours from O.R. Tambo Airport, the main lodge is situated within a secure 1.4-hectare compound surrounded by an electric fence, not for the 2-legged but rather the 4-legged leopards and brown hyenas that are prowling at night. This to ensure guests can enjoy all amenities with peace of mind.
The lodge includes a restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, a bar, a comfortable lapa (lounge area) with a high-powered spotting scope, and a boma (fireplace) – a perfect spot to sit around a log fire and socialise.
Other amenities include biltong and trophy hunting, a true lifestyle farm what we would like to call our Boerplaas, where guests may take part in farm activities, a health spa and a conference and business centre as well as safe shaded parking.
Self-Catering or Catered Accommodation
Berchtesgaden Game Ranch and Lifestyle Farm offers five comfortable and well-appointed chalets and three even luxury safari tents, all with ensuite bathrooms and double or twin beds, tea/coffee facilities and a small kitchenette.
In addition, there is a large fully equipped communal kitchen with two stoves, three fridges, and a chest freezer, along with its own dining area. The chalets are conveniently located near the main lodge’s activities and amenities.
If you want to be spoiled, come and sit at our table in the luxurious lapa (launch) and enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner.
The lodge features a dedicated business centre with all the necessary equipment, including high-speed internet and a booster for full cellular network service.
Activities at Berchtesgaden Game Ranch and Lifestyle Farm
The ranch is home to a variety of African wildlife, making it a prime destination for serious hunters, complete with all necessary facilities.
The farm also prides itself of their social responsibility and their involvement in the Help Hunt 4 Hunger inisiative, contributing a healthy portion of the hunted meat weekly to feed disadvantaged children and people of age.
The Observation Deck offers a great vantage point to watch animals at the waterhole or in the breeding camp coming to enjoy extra food provided especially in wintertime.
Guests may enjoy therapeutic massages at the wellness centre, workouts at the gym, or a game of chess with the mega chess set on the lawn. The jacuzzi and tanning deck provide perfect spots to soak up the sun, stargaze at night, or relax by the swimming pool.
