I am very careful about using the adjective ‘best’ because there are many amazing places that I have visited and experienced. However, I have no hesitation in saying that the Lefika Hot Stone massage that I enjoyed at the Amani Spa a few weekends ago was the best massage that I have ever had.
What is even more incredible is that my girlfriend, with whom I shared the couples massage, claimed that hers was the best that she had experienced too.
Just entering the Amani Spa was a wonderful experience. The serenity and tranquillity settled on our senses like a thick, warm blanket on a cold night.
The spa occupies a floor all on its own at the Radisson Blu Hotel along Marine Drive, Port Elizabeth. The décor is minimalist and the colours are as relaxing as the music. The service and facilities are par excellence.
Amani Spa gives the best treatments!
We began in the steam room before moving to a couple’s suite where we spent the next hour and a half in utter bliss.
Our therapists, Melissa and Tsego, were incredible. You know when you are in the hands of a good therapist when they sense where your body needs attention and they apply themselves to maximise your comfort.
The massage was followed by a 30-minute ESSE Express Facial. I remember looking across the room at my girlfriend and I can’t remember last when I saw her so relaxed.
I vaguely remember leaving the treatment room and getting changed and spent the rest of the day relaxed daze.
Amani Spas are a national franchise and may be found throughout South Africa at select establishments. To find out more about their services, visit www.amanispas.co.za. To make a reservation in Port Elizabeth, call 041 509 5333 or email amanispape@radissonblu.com
