Rusty Hook is an old fisherman-cottage, which offers two bedrooms that can sleep a maximum of four people; making it ideal for a family or a group with two couples. The cottage comes equipped with a Queen-sized bed and two single beds, a lounge and dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen, a TV with DStv and a bathroom with a shower and bath.

Fat Gecko is a cosy one bedroom cottage that can sleep a maximum of three people. It’s perfect for a small family with a child and come equipped with a double bed and a sleeper couch in the lounge. Other amenities include a semi-equipped kitchen, a TV with DStv and DVD player, a bathroom with a shower and an outdoor dining area with a braai.

Starfish is a quirky one bedroom cottage that is perfect for couples or small families and can sleep a maximum of three people. The cottage comes with a double bed and a single sleeper couch in the lounge, a dining area, fully equipped kitchen, TV with DStv and a bathroom with a shower and bath.

Gecko Cove cottage is the perfect private, romantic getaway. It is surrounded by lush trees that make it the perfect place to relax during those hot summer days. You can also lie back and relax in the small private pool. The cottage is equipped with a Queen-bed, lounge and dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a shower and a braai.

The Milkwood House is a beautiful, large, five bedroom house with two bathrooms. The house can sleep a maximum of ten adults plus two children and comes with a Queen bed, two double beds, two single beds and two bunk beds. Additional amenities include a lounge, dining area, fully-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, two bathrooms with a shower and a TV with DStv.

Each unit comes with their own PTV braai area and a fully self-catering kitchen. Safe parking is available in all units for one car except for the Milkwood House.

Bedding and bath towels are provided but guests are required to bring their own towels for the beach. Should you not want to drink rain water guest should bring their own bottles water for drinking during your stay.

Restaurants with a good mix of service, food and ambiance

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance.  Of these, service is the most important. 

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion.  However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review.  We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
