The team from Crocworld Conservation Centre in Scottburgh have more support to execute their many conservation duties with the arrival of a new vehicle this week. “Crocworld is proud to welcome this brand-new vehicle to our team. This essential upgrade will help us continue our mission of wildlife conservation, education, and community outreach more efficiently than ever. Here’s to smoother rides and even stronger impact ahead!” commented Susan Badat, Centre Manager at Crocworld. With duties including attending to animals in need, having a reliable vehicle is a must, and the Crocworld-branded Isuzu bakkie is up to the task!

From snake rescues and food collection for crocs to rehabilitated bird releases alongside partner wildlife NPOs, the Crocworld bakkie will be kept busy! It will also be a helpful addition to Crocworld’s many outreach programmes where the team takes interactive displays to educate children at surrounding rural schools and community events on conservation. Other tasks for the new vehicle will include animal transports to veterinary partners and specialists, as well as supply and maintenance runs.

Visitors are welcome to meet some of these unique animals at the centre – feathered, furry, and scaled – in a close-up, safe environment with daily talks and feedings. Crocworld is also home to Jikaleza Outdoor Adventures, the only aerial ziplining course in the region, as well as the award-winning Fish Eagle Café, which boasts ocean views as spectacular as its meals.
