There are four different types of suites available a De Denne Country House; the nine Deluxe Suites, five Family Suites, three Garden Suites and the two Standard Rooms. Each unit is uniquely decorated with its own style and personalised touches.

The Deluxe Suite can sleep a maximum of two people and comes with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower, a comfortable King-sized bed fitted with rich and soft linen, air-conditioning, TV with DStv, safe, mini-fridge, hairdryer, tea and coffee-making facilities and electric blankets are available during the winter season.

The Family Suite can sleep between four to five people, four suites consist of King-sized or twin beds and a lounge area with additional twin beds and a spacious en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. Two of the family suites have fireplaces that will help keep you warm during the cold winter nights. The suites come equipped with air-conditioning, TV with DStv, safe, mini-fridge, hairdryer, tea and coffee-making facilities and electric blankets.

The Garden Suites can sleep a maximum of two people and consist of an open-plan bedroom/lounge area and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. It comes with its own private veranda that leads into the gorgeous stretched lawns and gardens. The suites come equipped with air-conditioning, TV with DStv, safe, mini-fridge, hairdryer, tea and coffee-making facilities and electric blankets.

The Standard Rooms come with Queen-sized beds and can sleep a maximum of two people. The room comes with a private veranda that overlooks the plush farmlands. Guests can enjoy a number of fun and entertaining activities from swimming in the beautiful pool during the summer, going on guided tours of the local ostrich farm and informative stargazing experiences. In the Klein Karoo the stars shine bright and proud, making it a truly romantic experience.

Restaurants with a good mix of service, food and ambiance

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance.  Of these, service is the most important. 

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion.  However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review.  We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
