The Kruger National Park is a truly magnificent place to visit for families, groups and romantic couples needing a change of scenery. Here the unspoilt African wilderness – with its forests, plains, rivers, sunsets, historical sites and herds of wildlife, delivers an experience like no other in the world.
Yes, it gets a little crowded at times, but to witness the park’s natural wonders is truly a blessing. I recommend ditching the safari vehicle and taking a hiking trail for a more personal bush experience.
Situated on the banks of the Crocodile River and overlooking the Kruger National Park, the aptly-named Kruger Riverside Lodge offers guests a perfect gateway to the many adventures that await visitors to the park and its surrounds.
The lodge is actually located in the heart of the park’s Marloth Park Conservancy section where herds of wild animals roam free.
Upon arriving at the lodge, the owners, Charl and Riana, along with their friendly staff, will go out of their way to make you feel as though you have come home from a long journey.
Accommodation is offered in a choice of three Double Rooms and one Family Suite. Two of the suites are on the ground floor while the third Double Room is situated on the top floor and has a private balcony from where you can enjoy among the best African sunsets.
The Family Room is situated on the top floor of Kruger Riverside Lodge and consists of two bedrooms with two en-suite bathrooms. One bedroom has access to its own private balcony and the other bedroom has access to the main balcony overlooking the Kruger National Park.
All the suites come with comfy beds, DSTV, coffee and tea making facilities as well as en-suite bathrooms that have a shower, toilet, basin and bidet. Clean linen is provided along with bath towels and swimming towels, free Wi-Fi and air-conditioning in every room. There is also free secure parking on-site.
The lodge offers two guest lounges as well as two dining areas where you can enjoy delectable meals – breakfast and dinner is provided. There is also an outdoor swimming pool for those really hot days.
The suites are serviced daily, so you won’t have to lift a finger on your holiday. Visitors also enjoy immediate access to anything they could possibly need, including a variety of restaurants, shops and a fuel station nearby.
