There are nine different rooms to choose from at Egerton Manor, each one is stylishly decorated and spacious, making your stay all the more comfortable. Rooms to choose from include the single room, sharing room, family room, economy room and the self-catering unit.

Guests can choose to include the bed and breakfast option for their stay.

Each room comes with a set of Twin Beds, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, air-conditioning, TV with DStv, a comfortable work station, tea and coffee-making facilities, and easy access to the free Wi-Fi.

At Egerton Manor, their experienced chefs Pierre and Londiwe makes sure that every meal is a culinary delight. You can enjoy new and unique dishes and their famous KwaZulu-Natal-styled curries that are sure to tantalise your taste buds. Dinner is available as well but must be booked in advance.

You never have to worry about safety here. Not only do they have a security guard on duty every night, but their ever-vigilant French Poodles are on guard 24/7 to keep any unwanted elements at bay.

Undercover parking is available onsite for your vehicle so you won’t have to worry during your stay.

There are several activities to experience and enjoy in the nearby area. Golfers can play a few rounds on the golf course, visit the historic monuments of the Anglo Boer War, view the Drakensberg Mountains, and learn more about protected wildlife at Nambiti Conservancy.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
