There are three luxury safari tents to choose from at Kohandé, each with its own boma and a private braai. All tents can accommodate a total of two adults each, unfortunately, no children are allowed.

You can enjoy total privacy on your own, with a friend or as a couple looking for a romantic getaway.

The luxury tents all have an en-suite bathroom with a shower, a fully equipped kitchenette with a fridge/freezer that helps make your self-catering stay a more pleasurable and relaxing experience.

The private braai facilities in the boma allow you to enjoy a traditional South African braai in the bush.

The panoramic views of the tents allow you to enjoy uninterrupted views of the natural surroundings and have a chance of spotting the local wildlife make their way through the area to graze or drink from the watering hole for the day.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.
