Sometimes a single word or two can bring about a bounteous amount of feelings, smells, sounds and even scenery. When I hear the words ‘Cape St. Francis Resort’, I am instantly teleported to a relaxing weekend filled with delectable food, long strolls along the beach, sightseeing, and waking up to the calming sounds of the ocean in our very own beach cottage.
Situated in the picturesque seaside town of Cape St Francis, and nestled within the sand dunes of the pristine beach, Cape St Francis Resort is among the best beach holiday offerings along the South African coastline.
After being welcomed with big smiles on arrival, we were escorted to our Village Break beach cottage in the heart of the Resort. Village Break, which consists of a selection of three and four-bedroom, 4-Star cottages ideal for a family or group of close friends.
Outdoor relaxation is important to me whenever we book a seaside holiday and I was ecstatic when I noticed the lush green private garden, braai area and our very own swimming pool as we walked into our beach house.
Each of the Village Break properties are designed with laid back, open-plan living in mind. Our living area was equipped with comfortable couches, a flat screen television, coffee table and dining room table leading into a fully-equipped kitchen fitted with a stove, hob, fridge/ freezer, microwave oven as well as all cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils that you could possibly need for a relaxed self-catering family beach holiday.
Unwind in the beautiful rooms of Cape St Francis Resort
Our bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated with a lovely view of the garden. The downstairs bedroom had a shower en-suite bathroom while the two upstairs bedrooms had full en-suite bathrooms – each with a bath and shower.
We spent our evenings unwinding and enjoying the extensive food menu at the Joe Fish Restaurant and Bar, which is located at Cape St Francis Resort. Situated around the inviting swimming pool, Joe Fish offers a cosy, relaxing, child-friendly environment with seating for up to 110 guests.
With mouth-watering options such as their award-winning calamari, marinated ribs, perfectly cooked fillet steak, Joe’s Hake and chips, and their crispy Eisbein, we had more than enough reason to ‘eat, drink and be merry’.
We had a fun-filled weekend of sun, sea and sandy toes and spent our days on windy walking trails, bird watching, spotting some whales and dolphins in the ocean, and relaxing next to our pool.
I cannot wait to book our next weekend at Cape St Francis Resort. For bookings, call 042 298 0054, emailseals@iafrica.com or visit www.capestfrancis.co.za today!
