Get away from it all at the Blue Sky Guest House

The Blue Sky Guest House is situated in the tranquil fishing village of Arniston/ Waenhuiskranz – a mere 450 meters away from a beautiful beach and the historic fishing harbour. The local beaches are pristine and sandy white.

Blue Sky Guest House has wonderful rooms on offer

There are six different rooms to choose from at the Blue Sky Guest House. Three of the rooms have extra-length Queen-sized beds while the other three have King-sized beds that can be converted to twin beds.

All of the rooms have a bathroom en-suite, Nespresso coffee machines, tea and coffee-making facilities, air-conditioning, a safe, hairdryer, universal plugs, USB ports and a mini-bar fridge.

In addition, one of the Deluxe Queen Rooms is wheelchair-friendly, equipped with grab rails in the shower and next to the toilet. A chair for the shower is available on request.

The Honeymoon Garden Suite has a Queen-sized bed, with an en-suite bathroom which has a shower and bathtub. A unique feature of this room is the beautiful private garden.

Guests have access to free parking and Wi-Fi, a lounge with DStv and easy access to the plunge pool in the inner courtyard.

At the Blue Sky Guest House, breakfast is not to be missed. The restaurant has a wonderful à la carte menu, serving both lunch and dinner. Fish is sourced locally from the harbour in Kassiesbaai.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
