If anyone can pick one defining characteristic of Spirit of The Ocean: Moyalwandle, it would certainly be its location, which allows their guests to enjoy secluded family or romantic holidays with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean.
Spirit of the Ocean is an upmarket, timber holiday home at Ballots Heights, a fynbos nature reserve located high above the Indian Ocean, just outside George, between Mossel Bay and Wilderness. The house is perched on a cliff in a beautiful part of this nature reserve.
Ballots Bay and Ballots Heights are part of the old Sandkraal Farm and has a coastline that remains pristine and unspoilt to this day. The lush vegetation is home to rich birdlife and offers wonderful walking trails.
Generally, the region has a Mediterranean Maritime climate, with moderately hot summers, and mild to chilly winters. One can breathe here and feel rejuvenated in a very short space of time!
Arriving at Spirit of The Ocean, you will notice that the house has white-washed wooden walls, which give it a light and airy feeling. Inside, the ceilings are high with modern light fittings giving it a sense of comfort.
Previous guests always point out the hospitality that they got from the owners, Christina and Raymond Auerbach.
