Like with many people, getting back into the swing of things after a busy festive season can be a challenge. So, to re-energise my body and mind, I booked a full body massage at the iconic Isango Gate Boutique Hotel and Spa, in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth.
On arrival, I was warmly welcomed by my therapist, Abigail, who offered me a drink as I settle in my treatment room.
The treatment room, like the rest of the spa, was pleasing to the eye. A mixture of neutral colours, sleek modern finishes, soft music and fluffy towels creates a luxurious, tranquil environment.
After a quick pre-treatment briefing, Abigail began working on the muscles in my legs, arms and the knots in my neck, back and shoulders. It was an hour of total bliss after I had checked in with a case of severe post-holiday blues.
By the end of my treatment, I felt rejuvenated, relaxed and ready to take on whatever 2018 threw my way. The mixture of grapeseed and relaxation oil used during my massage also left my skin feeling and smelling great!
“Our clients have our undivided attention as we only focus on them,” Abigail later told me, adding, “Clients often tell me that they prefer the intimate setting offered by Isango Gate Spa.”
By combining ancient and modern techniques, Isango Gate Spa boasts an exquisite choice of treatments for both individuals and couples, with their Escape Journey and Couples Bliss treatment being the most popular.
I can highly recommend Isango Gate Spa and will definitely be back to try the Dead Sea Mineral Journey.
