Rondebosch Golf Club is beautifully green, situated only ten minutes from the Cape Town city centre, with magnificent views of Table Mountain. It is a favourite amongst local golfers and foreign visitors alike.
The golf club offers an 18-hole course and, with continual development and improvements, the course maintains its excellent condition all year round. It remains a challenge to the experienced, serious golfer yet is still accessible to high handicap, social golfers.
The club has just introduced a Par 3 course – The Rondebosch Rabbit Run – which is ideal for beginners, juniors (or anyone who may be intimidated by the longer format); and it’s perfect for a late afternoon sundowner round.
The course features a winding river canal, which provides challenges to golf players and is home to a variety of bird life – from cormorants and kingfishers to wild ducks and flamingos.
Rondebosch has hosted seven consecutive Sunshine Tour events, two professional Ladies European Tour events and the South African Ladies Amateur Open. Later this year the club hosts the South African Development Championship event.
NOT JUST A GOLF COURSE
The golf course also offers a superb menu for breakfasts, casual meals and has a fully licenced bar – at club prices. It has a venue which is ideal for weddings, corporate seminars and private functions.
The corporate golf days at Rondebosch are the stuff of legends.
At Rondebosch Golf Club everyone, no matter their age or skill level, can learn to play golf or improve their game with their PGA coach. The club’s membership and green fees provide comparatively excellent value.
Rondebosch does not require that a visitor be affiliated to any club or union. Everyone is welcome!
