Whether you are looking for an indoor or outdoor event, the extensive gardens and elegant interior make for a wonderfully magical venue. The venue itself is fitted with high ceilings, exposed rafters and chandeliers. It can accommodate between 80 to 120 guests depending on your preferred layout.

Bloekomsrus has a professional team of event planners and caterers that will bend over backwards to make sure that your wedding or function goes off without a hitch.

ENJOY LUXURY FARM ACCOMMODATION

When it comes to accommodation, the Bloekomsrus farmhouse was recently renovated and has now been converted into a lovely guesthouse. It’s also conveniently close to the wedding venue so the bridal party can enjoy a stay before the big day.

The farmhouse has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. It can accommodate as many as 11 people at a time. The bedrooms are all fitted with a double-bed and three of the five rooms have their own en-suite bathrooms. A shared bathroom can be accessed for the other two Self-catering is not an issue, as there are two self-catering cottages situated close to the dam that can accommodate four people within walking distance from the Venue.

The Farmhouse living area and dining area have ample seating so guests can enjoy their meals in the company of their friends.

The farmhouse is surrounded by tall trees and a manicured garden, which make relaxing on the patio and braaing outside that much more For a more intimate accommodation setting, Bloekomsrus also has a cottage available to stay in.

The Cottage has two bedrooms which can accommodate up to four guests. Each bedroom has its own entrance, en-suite bathroom and coffee station.

Next to the Cottage is the Bridal Suite, which has its own private entrance. For the bride-tobe, the suite is the perfect place to rest before your big day. The Suite has a double-bed with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bathtub and showers, as well as a kitchenette with a microwave, bar fridge and coffee and tea making facilities.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.
