The Bo-Kaap Cooking Tour was established by acclaimed Cape Malay expert cook, Zainie Misbach, back in 2004 as way to share the rich culinary and cultural heritage of her area with visitors to Cape Town.
Located on the slopes of Signal Hill, Bo-Kaap is actually one of the oldest urban residential areas in Cape Town – dating back to the 1760s. Its brightly-coloured, flat-roofed houses and decorative mosques are enduring historic and cultural landmarks.
There is no better way to immerse yourself in the life, food and culture of the Cape Malay than on the Bo-Kaap Cooking Tour – as their guests attest to.
