Those, who frequent this luxurious hotel, know that their meals from breakfast to dinner are sublime! One can’t spend a night in the Radisson Blu and not try their incredible dishes. Consequently, it goes without saying that their new Sunday Lunch is sure to be a tantalising and mouth-watering experience not to be missed.

Tabú Restaurant of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Port Elizabeth, not only serves great food, you can also take in incredible views of the Indian Ocean as you dine in the company of close friends or family – another reason to try out their new Sunday lunch menu.

Radisson Blu Hotel Food & Beverage Manager, Buhle Zondo, stated that their Sunday lunches have a little something special and cater for all dietary requirements.

“We have taken the Sunday lunch; which is a tradition in many homes, and added a Radisson Blu Hotel Port Elizabeth flair to it.

This menu has been designed to cater for a variety of tastes and to suit families as they come together to enjoy a stylish dining experience at our hotel,” said Zondo.

What’s on the menu?

The Buffet spread includes, their speciality soup of the day with fresh bread rolls, salads, antipasti starters, two roast options, Yorkshire pudding, two starch and vegetable options, a pasta dish and more. For dessert indulge in a hot pudding with custard, assorted cakes, fruit salad or cheese platter.

There is also an expansive selection of wines to choose from (Sunday Lunch cost per person excludes drinks).

Service at the Radisson Blu Hotel is beyond compare, their staff are well trained and very friendly, so you always receive the best service with every visit.

After enjoying your Sunday lunch, you can even enjoy a walk on the outside deck that overlooks the crystal clear swimming pool while you sip on one of their divine cocktails to top off your day.

The traditional Sunday Lunch Buffet is available on the last Sunday of the month, from 12h30 until 15h30 at R250 per person. Make sure to book your table soon!

Restaurants with a good mix of service, food and ambiance

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance.  Of these, service is the most important. 

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion.  However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review.  We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.

However, the best restaurants come with the best of service, food and ambiance.

Spas are the ultimate relaxation aid

How do you know when you have had a great spa experience?  The answer, of course, is when you doze off on the treatment table. 

Well that’s our theory anyway.  It also doesn’t take a grand location with enormous facilities for a spa to be really good

A small, personal spa that is owner run can result in the best massage you have ever experienced.  However, the grand spas in five star hotels offer unsurpassed facilities in an environment that just makes the stress in your shoulders and neck melt away before you even finish checking in.

Adventure!

You don’t have to be an adrenaline junky to enjoy an exciting experience.  In fact, what are commonly termed adventure activities usually have incredibly high safety standards and unblemished safety records.

Ziplining, bungy jumping and shark cage diving are all very safe.  It’s just that our mind tells us we are craaazzzzyyyy to be doing this.
