Named after the 140 year-old Blue Gum Tree on their front lawn, the Blue Gum Country Estate has been a private, family-run guest farm since 1839.

The Blue Gum Country Estate has 13 rooms on offer, each as unique and different as your own private guesthouse. The rooms are set among the olive grove, vineyards, rolling lawns and extensive gardens with access to the swimming pool and tennis court.
Rooms on offer include the two Honeymoon Suites, five Manor House Suites, five Mountain View Cottages and the two Blue Gum Cottages. The rooms are decorated in either African Colonial Style or English Country Style.
Absolutely fabulous accommodation at Blue Gum Country Estate
The Honeymoon Suites either come with a private garden or a private veranda.
They come with a fireplace, a full bathroom with a double shower and bath, King or twin beds, a large lounge with amazing views, tea and coffee-making facilities, a bar fridge, electronic safe, a fan, bathrobes and a TV with selected channels.
The Manor House Suites are situated in the original farmhouse of the Blue Gum Country Estate. They are wonderfully spacious and come with private views of the vineyards and the surrounding valleys and manicured gardens.
The rooms are equipped with King or Twin beds, a full bathroom with shower and bath, tea and coffee-making facilities, a bar fridge, electronic safe, fan, bathrobes and a TV with selected channels.
The Mountain View Cottages are family-friendly and conveniently situated next to the restaurant and kiddies play area. Two of the cottages can sleep up to four people with a King and Twin beds, while the other three come with a King-sized bed.
The rooms come with a bathroom with a bath and shower, tea and coffee-making facilities, fireplace, fan, bar fridge, electronic safe, bathrobes and a TV with selected channels.
The Blue Gum Cottages are situated away from the main hotel, and have family-friendly rooms that are perfect for older children. The cottages can sleep up to two people and come with a King-sized bed with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower.
The room comes equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, TV with selected channels and a private veranda with views of the wine farm.

It’s no secret that one of the main reasons people visit the Blue Gum Country Estate is to enjoy a meal at their restaurant – BARKE.
The restaurant can cater for families and get-togethers and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A separate section of their restaurant is only open for dinners and carters only for adults.
