I always enjoy any chance I get for a trip out of the city. So, when I got the chance to visit the amazing Dio Dell’ Amore Guest House in Jeffrey’s Bay with my friend, I jumped at it!
A fabulous Tuscan-themed 5-star accommodation, Dio Dell’ Amore is situated on the Kabeljauws River Mouth and offers beautiful breaker, lagoon and mountains views. Arriving at the front gate, I could tell that we were going to be in for a fabulous luxury experience.
It was like we had been instantly transported out of South Africa and sent to sunny Italy – fantastico!
My friend and I were blown away by the beauty of this majestic guesthouse. The Tuscan architecture and the beautiful Italian décor made us feel like we were on a European holiday.
“We are the only 5-star Guest House in Jeffrey’s Bay. We always strive to pay attention to detail and to make our guests as comfortable as possible,” described our host, Hein, who manages Dio Dell’ Amore.
“Our home is your home; you can jump on the beds and relax on the couches. We’re not a hotel, we’re a guest house and that’s what we want our guests to experience.”
Dio Dell’ Amore has luxurious Italian-themed rooms
There are eight rooms on offer, among them are standard rooms, family rooms and a beautiful Honeymoon Suite for those who want to seclude themselves and celebrate their amore.
My friend and I slept in their luxurious Superior Suite and Exclusive Suite rooms for the evening. The suites were tastefully-decorated with Italian-themed art and furniture; we had to compose ourselves from screaming with excitement as we entered our rooms.
Our rooms had en-suite bathrooms with luxurious claw-foot baths and open showers, TV with DStv, air-conditioning – and we had breath-taking views of the garden and swimming pool from our own private balconies.
I couldn’t wait to sleep on the beautiful Poster King-sized bed in my room after spending the evening exploring J-Bay. I was also looking forward to exploring the rest of Dio Dell’ Amore in the morning.
Delicious breakfast & beautiful surroundings
For breakfast, we enjoyed a delicious English breakfast with fruit salad and a perfect cup of coffee. After filling our bellies we went for a walk around Dio Dell’ Amore to explore the beautiful gardens and sparkling swimming pool.
A wonderful surprise for us while exploring was discovering the wide variety of colourful exotic birds on the property.
We were so sad that we could only stay one day, but would definitely love to return on our next trip to Jeffrey’s Bay!
