At Ulwazi Rock Lodge, they are able to accommodate up to 12 people and another two on sleeper couches. The Lodge has four en-suite rooms and the cottage which is surrounded by the lush tropical garden has two rooms. The lodge can accommodate young children as well as they have two fully equipped cots at an extra cost.

In the Lodge, three of the rooms each have their own Queen-sized bed with en-suite bathroom and overlooks the beautiful dam. The fourth room comes with two single beds, moved together with an en-suite bathroom and overlooks the lush garden.

The lodge offers an additional sleeper couch, accommodating 14 people at an extra cost per person after 12 people. Bath towels and fresh linen are provided for every room.

The lounge and two dining areas are open-plan, with a spacious area to add serenity to the Lodge. The kitchen is fully-equipped for all your self-catering needs and has an open-plan design. It provides a fridge, freezer, microwave and extra equipment in the pantry and a dishwasher in the scullery, which adds to a pleasant stay.

There is a fully equipped laundry with washing machine, tumble dryer, inside and outside drying horse, ironing board and iron. A hairdryer is available on request.

In the Lodge lounge and cottage, you will find a TV with DStv and uncapped Wi-Fi so you can watch all your favourite shows or sports. Braai facilities are available in the downstairs dining area for guests to enjoy an amazing time together.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance.  Of these, service is the most important. 

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion.  However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.
