There are more than 200 campsites available, each with electricity and water access points. Ablution facilities are well-maintained and just a short walking distance from both the beach and the camping sites.

Guests can enjoy beautiful views of the Kwelera River and the Yellow Sands Beach. The beach is safe and secure and offers higher levels of privacy that guest are sure to appreciate.

With the mouth of the Kwelera River at their doorstep, guests are able to experience a number of fun and thrilling activities such as rock, river and surf fishing, surfing, water skiing, river paddling, boating, snorkelling, and some beachy fun!

The latest attraction at Yellow Sands Caravan Park is the newly-built swimming pool that was added in 2017. This large swimming pool is more than just a pool, with seasonally heated water, fountains and colour changing lights create a whole other swimming pool experience! The surrounding picnic tables and tanning benches make the pool a popular alternative to a trip to the beach.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
