So what if winter is just around the corner, there is still so much to enjoy in our wonderful country. It may seem like the wrong time of the year to be getting wet, but below are a list of really wild and fun activities that can be enjoyed even in the depths of winter. Some come with wet suites, some are indoors in warm water and some are just above the flow, so, no matter the temperature, all can be enjoyed as our Home Food and Travel team will attest.
Wet Rock Adventures
What do you do on a chilly, rainy day? Go for a swim of course. Well, only if it is at Wet Rock Adventures.
This amazing venue, located at Chestnut Grove Industrial Park on Brackenhill Road in Waterfall, is indoors and has plenty of heated, warm water.
Apart from the balmy environment, you can expect an array of pools, slides and waterfalls interlinked to maximise the fun. The venue is open to all ages and is a great place for a family fun day or a birthday party.
Alison Kirk, who visited with her kids says, “My three year old son can’t swim properly as yet so I was concerned, but the water is shallow enough and there are many lifeguards on duty. The water is warm. It is all indoors so no sunscreen is needed and if it is raining you can still have fun!”
If you’re looking for a fun venue for your child’s party then this is ideal.
There are dedicated picnic-cum-party locations and with life guards everywhere, so parents can relax.
The onsite restaurant serves great coffee, invigorating breakfasts and a host of light meals.
