Guests can choose from the Bermuda, 302 Kenwyn-on-sea, 207 La Ballito, 34 Martinique, the Minerva Studio or the Skiathos units.

The Bermuda unit is situated right on Ballito’s famous promenade, which is a short walk away from the Indian Ocean. The unit can sleep between six to eight people and comes equipped with King and Queen-sized beds and two single beds, a bathroom with a shower, Tv with DStv and air-conditioning.

Meanwhile, the 302 Kenwyn-on-sea is a three bedroom self-catering luxury accommodation in Ballito. The complex has a beautiful swimming pool, communal braai area and large green lawn for the kids to play in. The unit comes with a fully-equipped kitchen that features a dishwasher, microwave, stove, fridge, washing machine and dryer. The unit can sleep a maximum of eight people and comes with Queen-sized beds, two bathrooms with a double walk-in shower, TV with DStv and direct access to the beach.

A family-friendly four-sleeper, the 207 La Ballito is located on the second floor of Ballito’s only mini high-rise. This unit has a fully-equipped kitchen with a microwave oven, fridge, dishwasher and coffee machine. The unit comes with a Queen-sized bed and two single beds, a bathroom with a bath and shower combo, a TV with DStv, free Wi-Fi, a communal braai facility, swimming pool and a kid’s playground.

In addition, the 34 Martinique unit can sleep up to eight people and comes with a King-sized bed and single beds. The unit has a full kitchen that includes an electric/gas cooker, oven, microwave, double fridge and dishwasher. It comes with two bathrooms, TV with full DStv, washing machine and tumble dryer, an outdoor braai, a large swimming pool and grassed area.

The Minerva Studio can sleep up to two people on a double bed. This apartment has its own private entrance and private parking away from the main house. It comes with a compact kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, two-plate stove/oven, kettle and toaster. There is an en-suite bathroom with a shower with a skylight, free Wi-Fi and a TV with DStv. Guests also have access to the pool and the entertainment area with a braai.

Additionally, the Skiathos luxury apartments offer excellent and endless views of the ocean which is just a short walk away. These units come with King or Queen-sized beds and can sleep between six to nine people.

There are two bathrooms with a shower and bath, centralised air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, TV with DStv, a swimming pool, secure underground parking and direct access to the beach.

Note: All units are self-catering and are serviced from Monday to Saturday, excluding Sundays and public holidays.

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance.  Of these, service is the most important. 

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion.  However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.
