There are 11 double rooms to choose from at Marle’ Lodge, each one beautifully-decorated in an African theme. The rooms can accommodate a maximum of two people and a family room can be arranged upon request.

Each room comes with an en-suite bathroom, TV with DStv, a kitchenette, private entrances and air-conditioning. Two of the rooms have an inter-leading door; perfect for families who prefer to stay together during their holiday.

You can enjoy a delicious breakfast every morning in the Marle’ Lodge dining area, the menu comes with three options to choose from, including a vegetarian option.

Lunch and dinner can be made available upon request at a fixed rate per person, simply request the menu and place your order. Dinner comes with a soft drink included with your order.

Drinks and snacks can be enjoyed in their licenced bar facilities. You can snack on some treats or sip a sun-downer in the Lapa where you will find two braai facilities and patios. Enjoy some drinks with friends or family while having a traditional South African braai together.

Ample secure parking is available for your vehicle during your stay and security guards are on-site at all times, making sure that the area is safe and secure for your peace of mind. Free Wi-Fi can also be accessed throughout the facility.

The public park is next to the lodge, giving families with kids a fun place to run around and play in. The park has its own outdoor gym and playground, with a filling station, convenience store, Wimpy restaurant and ATM’s right across the road.

Restaurants with a good mix of service, food and ambiance

To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance.  Of these, service is the most important. 

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion.  However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review.  We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.

How do you know when you have had a great spa experience?  The answer, of course, is when you doze off on the treatment table.

Ziplining, bungy jumping and shark cage diving are all very safe.  It’s just that our mind tells us we are craaazzzzyyyy to be doing this.
