The Sederkloof Lodge is an ultimate Baviaans getaway and has an ethos of tranquillity instilled. The lodge consists of six luxury stone and glass hideaways in the mountains. This establishment also has a communal lounge and dining areas as well as pool and bar facilities. Each of their chalets are located at the edge of a gorge and thus allows for privacy as well as spectacular views throughout. A large outdoor deck area is a great place to sit back and unwind, whilst enjoying sundowners and the mountain range.

Spectacular scenery and a tranquil stay is expected at the Baviaanskloof Lodge. Visitors can expect warm hospitality and pampering during their stay. Baviaans Lodge has six cottages available, three natural stone cottages that have two bedrooms, two natural stone cottages with one bedroom and one Mountain Kloof farm cottage with two bedrooms. Zandvlakte-Accommodation Type-Guest Farm

The Zandvlakte Guest Farm is known for its sense of serenity and laid back way of living. Visitors can enjoy the rural late nights around the fire, bird watching, going on a walk or even looking up at the starry sky during their stay. This Baviaanskloof accommodation is located halfway between Willowmore and Patensie in the Eastern Cape.

Zandvlakte is an operational farm within the Baviaanskloof Hartland Private Game Reserve and offers accommodation within their fully restored buildings. These buildings date back to as early as 1811. To my mind a great restaurant offers three things – excellent service, great food and a wonderful ambiance. Of these, service is the most important.

No matter that the food is delicious and the setting delightful, poor service can ruin the occasion. However, great service combined with mediocre meal and a plane jane restaurant can still be a pleasant night out.

We’ve eaten in restaurants that are really dirty but with incredible food and couldn’t help but give a rave review. We’ve also hardly noticed what we ate because the setting was just amazing.
